Notices on titles

If you obtain a building consent for slip prevention work, or for any other reason, a ‘Section 72’ notice may be placed on your title .

We have seen situations where a Council has asked a home owner to have an engineer confirm that all slopes on their section are stable (not just the one for which work was being considered). If the engineer is not able to make this statement, the owner will receive a natural hazard notice on their title.
