Prevent or repair?

Putting aside the obvious health and safety issues, there are other reasons why preventing a slip is preferable to repairing one.

We routinely hear that an insurance payout is only enough to cover a fraction of the final cost of designing and constructing of a slip repair solution.

Owners routinely find themselves tens of thousands of dollars into a design process, only to find out the final solution is unaffordable.

Other than direct costs relating to slip repair, there are less obvious issues, such as a public notice being placed on the property title or insurance avoiding further claims. These issues are covered in other sections of the website.

All of the above can be discussed in advance with a specialist contractor before beginning the slip repair process or hopefully avoided entirely by controlling the risk factors that are efficient to address.
